Item #: FOC-083
Object Class: Docile
Name: Teddy
Containment Protocols: FOC-083 is to be contained within a standard-sized containment chamber at Site S, designed to resemble a domestic living space suitable for a dog. The chamber should be equipped with the necessary amenities for the comfort and well-being of FOC-083, including a sleeping area, food and water bowls, and toys. Regular interactions with FOC-083 are encouraged to maintain its mental and emotional health. Personnel entering the containment chamber must be prepared to engage with FOC-083 as part of its care routine.
Description: FOC-083 appears as a standard 16-inch-long dachshund dog with a brown head and a body patterned in black and white spots. Its physical characteristics are consistent with those of a regular dachshund breed, and it exhibits behavior typical of domesticated dogs. FOC-083's demeanor is friendly and affectionate, displaying an affinity for human interaction.
However, FOC-083 possesses an anomalous ability that can affect individuals within a certain radius. When FOC-083 desires attention, it will initiate its anomalous behavior by producing what can be described as a "crying" vocalization. This vocalization triggers a compulsion in individuals within approximately 10 meters of FOC-083 to approach it and engage in petting or other forms of physical interaction.
Once an individual begins petting FOC-083, the compulsion intensifies, and they feel an overwhelming urge to continue petting the entity until FOC-083 is satisfied. Attempts to resist this compulsion result in heightened anxiety and discomfort. Individuals who leave FOC-083's proximity after a petting session find themselves irresistibly drawn back to the entity, compelled to repeat the interaction until FOC-083 deems itself content.
Test Log:
Test #: 083-A
Date: 5/12/2012
Subject: T-291B (Human Test Subject)
Procedure: T-291B is instructed to enter FOC-083's containment chamber and engage in casual interaction with the entity.
Results: Upon entering the chamber, T-291B immediately notices FOC-083 and approaches it. When FOC-083 begins the "crying" vocalization, T-291B exhibits visible signs of distress and attempts to leave the chamber. However, T-291B is unable to overcome the compulsion and returns to FOC-083, initiating petting. The compulsion intensifies, and T-291B continues petting FOC-083 for an extended period. After approximately 20 minutes, FOC-083 ceases its vocalization, and T-291B's compulsion dissipates. T-291B expresses confusion about the prolonged interaction but does not exhibit any adverse effects afterward.
Test #: 083-B
Date: 30/1/2013
Subject: Researcher A. Williams (Foundation Personnel)
Procedure: Researcher A. Williams, aware of FOC-083's anomalous effects, voluntarily enters the containment chamber to interact with FOC-083.
Results: Researcher A. Williams approaches FOC-083 upon entering the chamber and initiates petting without hesitation. As FOC-083 starts its "crying" vocalization, Researcher A. Williams continues petting, displaying a calm demeanor. The compulsion intensifies as expected, prompting Researcher A. Williams to pet FOC-083 for approximately 25 minutes. FOC-083 eventually stops vocalizing, and Researcher A. Williams' compulsion ends. Researcher A. Williams reports experiencing a sense of relaxation and contentment after the interaction.
Please note that due to the docile nature of FOC-083 and its effects, no further testing is considered necessary at this time.
